Grande festa della befana 2009

There is a plan for the new year to organise a "Grande Festa della Befana"

for children aged eight and under.

The party would take place on January 4th, 2009 in Glasgow.

Scampagnata 2008

What can we say … other than an enormous GRAZIE! 

The Scampagnata 2008 was a great success, despite the efforts of the rain to put a damper on the occasion. 

A big thank you to all the organising committee of the CoCais

who pulled the arrangements together over a six month period.

Thanks too to the sponsors and advertisers in the souvenir brochure/programme and all who donated

raffle prizes and those who volunteered on the day. The raffle raised a magnificent £1000 which has

been donated to the Italian Cloister Garden Appeal established by Archbishop Conti.  The appeal benefited

by another £300 thanks to the collection taken at Mass on the day.

The football results are as follows:

The winners of the Coppa Comites were US Lucchesi.

Close runner-ups were Mini Italia going down 5 - 2.

The Coppa Mugnaioni was won by Ciociari who bet Club Cuori

13 - 1.

Club Capaldi were narrowly beaten by Juventini

in the Coppa Cocais with the final score 5 - 3.

In the Coppa Osvaldo Franchi, Wild Stallions edged

out Juventus, 4 - 3, the final score.
